Auditor Job Search Advice

I am considering seeing a new position with reduced hours due to family obligations. My current auditor knows I am stressed at my current job due to long hours and trying to provide more support to a disabled sibling and mother. Would it be inadvisable to seek advice or possible job leads from my auditor. I know they could have leads for firms seeking that type of position...but I don't know whether it would be a conflict of interest..thanks for your advice..
