A manufacturing company has a vast line of products, e.g. product A which is being classified into alot of SKUs , i.e. grades, class, sizes and etc. On a per product basis, these are being broken down into alot of by-products which also has of SKUs.
Based on your personal experience or if you have any suggestions, which ERP offers best solutions for a manufacturing company to make its product costing more accurate?

Not possible to give you a useful answer to the question as you wrote it.
What type of manufacturing?
What size company/locations/budget, etc etc?
Does your current ERP system fail you in product costing? What other areas does it fail to perform? Or do very well? Can you extend/upgrade it?
Surely you need an holistic approach to ERP selection, beyond product costing?
The company is a manufacturing of frozen seafood products.
The size is around 10 branches in a country around 4000-5000 workers, including support team.
There is no allotted budget yet since the company has been running the old style ( meaning people are doing manual approach, as to reporting and there's no planning team to prepare the budget)
There is no current ERP used and costing method is still manual, via use of excel.
Hope this info helps..
That does, because one unique requirement that I can discern from your notes is the need for catch weight recording and sale units that vary (e.g. crab legs will vary from in weight from case to case).
PM me for some ideas-there are very few ERPs that do this.

There are industry specific packages, generic packages, good and bad.
You need to start your search with a GAP Analysis and then a needs assessment/requirements list (including realistic budget of software costs, consulting, implementation (with employee costs included), loss of productivity, training, etc costs).
Just because everyone says MRP system Widgets is a great system, it may not be great for your specific needs.
