I am interested in finding out as to what BI solutions small and mid size companies are currently using or planning to use in the near future. Also what do you see as the biggest challenges to implement BI solution strategy.

My recommendation is Microsoft BI, which is free with Excel 2013 and can be displayed free on the web using the Microsoft BI site. It is the best self service solution I've used. I've been disappointed by Qlikview, you will need an IT to set it up, but I find the UI frustrating and we can't get users to use it. Tableau is a good alternative to Microsoft BI, if you are looking for static dashboards and have an IT team to set them up.
