I would tell you that this is not a Cloud question but a business question. What it will come down to is how you capture information. If you tack transactional data at the level that will allow you to change the KPI for a specific need you should be fine. What I will say about some of the Cloud applications is that they do lend themselves to easier report writing and changing and/or adjusting metrics/formulas than say offerings like Crystal Reports and the like.
