Also, ask your networking specialist:
1. latency may be caused by your concurrent user activity on the system, your PC specs, WAN/router/firewall, internet performance, SaaS vendor data center environment
2. what is your home/remote internet connection like? DSL or T1/T3 or Cable?
Some are controllable, some are not.
You should be able to get metrics from the SaaS vendor on their data center metrics to help assess where latency problems may exist.
