I have a client who has asked me to look into an erp software comparison, but I don't really have the time to talk to every ERP system provider and get their individual quote. It would be like taking a week to walk into every car dealership in town just to find out that Rolls Royces have an exact cost that is way beyond my client's budget.
How do I use my extremely limited time (and no budget for a consultant at this point) to cost-effectively narrow down the list to some actual comparable costs/features/benefits?
It's worth noting that in addition to being on a budget, my client is pre-disposed against off-brand
I understand that there are a vast array of a la carte options, but there must be some sort of ERP price comparison available or some kind of broad erp software comparison at least.
I should add that his company is a wholesale U.S./Canada distributor of specialized parts, with physical locations in three states and two Canadian provinces. They're currently moving toward consolidating probably into one less location in each country. The idea is to become smaller, smarter and more focused on higher margin areas.
