Anyone have any experience with Longview Solutions as a budgeting / forecasting and reporting solution?

Our company uses Longview Forecasting and Budgeting tool and I would not recommend this program. It is not very intuititve and requires a lot of maintenance and programming. We also use Microstrategy and regardless of what Longview tries to tell you, the two systems do not work well together. We were sold a product that was supposed to do many things and we have ended having special work arounds and programming to work the way we needed the system to generate anything useful for us. Another reason I would not select Longview again is there are very few IT individuals out there that have heard of Longview so you end up using their employees to do all the programming and the consulting costs adds up. Their IT people are also not the smartest ones out there so you spend a lot of time explaining and reworking to finally get it to work. The implementation for us was very painful and long. They were relatively low intial cost but the concept of "getting what you pay for" is so true. Don't skimp out on a system due to costs. We end up using excel as a work around to pull data from the system to manipulate and generate our reports. Systems I would recommend for budgeting and forecasting would be Hyperion or SAP.
