Looking for insights on financial/operational dashboard KPI's for a site acquisition services business

I'm looking for suggestions, ideas or even examples of key metrics to monitor/dashboard for a site acquisition services business. Labor intensive. Visibility into utilization is short term in nature. Services include lease analysis, zoning, permitting, construction drawings and related services for the deployment of equipment to sites. Company serves an industry comprised of a small number of very large customers rolling out networks. Company currently in transition from Quickbooks to NetSuite.

Two thoughts...

First, in my experience, whatever metrics you show initially will be changed after your managers see your dashboard. So set up the metrics that seem reasonable today, and then ask your managers what they'd prefer to see and why.

Second, search online images for >> [your industry] dashboard example <<. You'll probably find many examples. However, pay much more attention to the metrics than the charts. This is because most online examples of BI dashboards tend to be cluttered with 3D charts, gauges, and other junky displays.
