Accounting Software: Microsoft Great Plains

I recommend that you review the info on the Microsoft website for Dynamics (aka Great Plains). You can join the user community website:

Also, you can join Customer Source, which has many Q&A about features & functionality, product manuals, etc. There is also training modules embedded into the software. I recommend those.

Finally, there may be a local user group you could join.

And your company probably works with a Microsoft Partner (consultant) that could give guidance as well.

Another way is to ask your service provider to give you a one day walk through on the product. You will need just an overview of how it works from a structural , Chart of accounts stand point. Being the CFO you might want a reports and dash board overview too. Which version of GP does your company use?
