Dear all, I currently am a professional public accountant working in a big 4 audit firm for the past 5 years. Considering the increasing involvement of AI in the Finance profession, I am looking to specialize in the area by becoming a Financial Data Scientist. Since I already have adequate experience/ education in finance, I am looking for someone to guide me how to further progress towards my aim of being a Financial Data Scientist. I am inclined towards learning programming as well so this a field of interest for me. I also recently read Mr. James Myers blog on "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Finance" which further increased my curiosity and my willingness to pursue this career. Looking forward to your replies Thanks

If you're looking at Data Science in general, there are a few online websites that offer courses for programming and data analytics. e.g. https://www.datacamp.com/tracks/career
The AICPA also has a new certificate for Data Analytics if you want to specifically study for Financial Data Scientist. e.g. https://certificates.aicpastore.com/certificates/data-analytics
Good luck!
This is a 9 month online program that I have heard great things about. They are based in Silicon Valley and backed by some serious investors such as Google Ventures and Y Combinator. If you do not get a role with at least $50k the program itself is free. Let me know what you think:
