Hey guys! So I'm currently in the Navy, looking to get out in 498 days. I'm trying to plan out my separation and begin preparing my civilian life. I'm extremely interested in being an accountant. I'll be 26 when i separate, and i have about 3 years til I'll earn a degree (got about a year of school in already from before I enlisted). I'm planning on going to stay in Florida for school, go to Indiana (hometown) for school, or go to Washington state for school. I'm going to do 2 years at a community college and then transfer to a traditional 4 year university. Do you guys think that I'll have a tough time getting a job as an almost 30 year old fresh out of college? I have an outstanding military service record. Other than that, what did you guys do or would you guys do differently, that led you to success? Thank guys!
Planning to transition from Active Duty military to Accountant

Hi Jake,
I would highly suggest to study online wharton accounting course (introduction to financial accounting & more introduction to financial accounting) at coursera.
Hello Jake,
Your outstanding military service record will certainly help !! All you need is required skill and interest. Age is definitely not a bar if you have a right skill set to match the job criteria.
