QuickBooks Functionality - Editable Entries

Hi, I am using quickbooks enterprise sol. 12. I can't edit some of GL (Journal) entries, while the other is editable please can you help me, even i didn't set the closing date yet? more, can i change 'name' in the journal entry of an account at once e.g. Current account? which i post to different "names' now i want to assign only one customer name to this account with out editing one by one? regards

I use QBs Enterprise and have never run across not being able to edit a JE. Do you have multiple users possibly with different permissions? The company may have placed safe guards to protect certain areas from being changed.

While not a QB "expert", maybe entering a correcting entry may be the best (from multiple explanatory reason) alternative...

There are two likely reasons, AFAIK, that you would not be able to do this. Christie hit on the first - you do not have permission to do it. The QB admin would need to change change that, if they so choose.

The other is that it is in a closed period and you do not have know the password to allow the entry to post.
