Total company income statement and balance sheet
Actual compared to budget and last year
Income statement by Division
Actual compared to budget and last year
Depending on the organization structure of the company you may want a chart that shows for each administrative cost center Actual, Budget and LY with explanations of any significant variance from budget and or LY
A chart showing payroll and headcount actual vs budget (if available and LY) by division or location .
If you have a credit facility and do a Borrowing Base, a summary showing availability on the credit line
I typically do a chart on all of the significant balance sheet categories showing current, budget and LY
Depending on the size of the company and number of operating locations, location income statements may be included, or a summary showing Revenue and Profit by location.
I typically put together a sample package and run it by the CEO and COO and get their feed back. During the meetings as they ask for additional information, unless it is a one time request, a new chart is added to the package.
Periodically, the package is reviewed and charts that are not discussed or have outlived their usefulness are removed.
Hope this helps
