Does anyone has a copy of a (financial) table of authorities of who can approve what a small start up company? Legal, financial, projects, etc.....

Hello Michael

As a past auditor, I have advised owners on this step before and have found that it really depends on your organization and who you define as purchases vs approves. For instance in some small organizations I've found that the Chief Legal officer may have greater authority than the chief information officer. In other cases is was reversed.

If you have some type of a governing body (like a board) it is best to start the conversation with them. If not, possible discuss with a group (together) of your senior leaders.
