The one variable that is hard to predict and can dramatically impact your pricing is the cost of the data that is transferred. As you offering change and this is the true hidden cost. If you start having videos on you site or change you services so you are now storing pictures or pdfs along with data, you cost can rise. I have talked with numerous companies that has been hit by data charges and once you start providing additional services to you customers or in the way you run you business it is hard to put them back in the box and stop the flow of data. This is same problem companies are having with data plans on cell phone and cell hotspots, at first the data was unlimited and now you have to pay, after companies have changed their service offerings and programs to be more data intensive. Think long and hard before you give up your control of server room and free data transfers.
