Most people use Msft Project. There might be better but I have worked with many companies and this is what they tend to use everywhere.
MS Project is heavy-duty project

Primavera is another good project management solution commonly used in the construction industry.

My mistake - I listed the tool name incorrectly. It is MindView 4.0.
Frankly I think that the MS Projects, etc. of the world are way to complicated and do not lend themselves to engaging the entire team, while offerings like Base Camp are not enough. I have been using SmartSheet. Check them out at www.smartsheet.com.
